A custom Ford Mustang sold for $160,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. That's a lot for a Mustang, but at least the proceeds went to charity.

Lousy economy? Really? You got to wonder when you see some of the results of the auctions in Scottsdale, Ariz., this weekend. In particular, consider the price of a rare 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Alloy Gullwing. Auction house Gooding and Co. sold it for $4.62 million, easily a record for one of the iconic sports cars.
