Bonhams is offering for sale at auction two Ducatis associated with four-time World Superbike Champion, Carl Fogarty, both of which are owned by the same private collector in Northern Ireland.
The first is the Ducati 888 Corsa on which Carl won both the Superbike race and the headline event at the North West 200 in 1993, and which subsequently was campaigned by Michael Rutter in the British Superbike Championship. This historic machine was purchased by the current vendor in 2005 and has since been rebuilt by marque specialist John Hackett at Ducati Coventry. Estimate £26,000 – 30,000.

The unique 1961 Cadillac ‘Jacqueline’ Coupé, which was created by the Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina in honour of America’s First Lady, Jackie Kennedy, the year that her husband, John F Kennedy, was elected President of the United States, is to be sold in Bonhams’ Paris sale of Motor Cars at the Grand Palais on 5 February 2011.

While Ford F-Series sales in the U.S. are well below their peak year, in Canada they apparently can’t get enough of the trucks. Ford sold 97,913 F-Series pickups to our neighbors to the north in 2010, making it the best-selling vehicle ever in a single year in Canadian history.

A racing legend and a race-inspired car will team up to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) at the 40th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Ariz.
A spectacular, one-of-a-kind factory-painted Grabber Blue 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca will be sold to the highest bidder with none other than racing great Parnelli Jones providing commentary from the auction stage with Ford’s Mustang team. Jones won the 1970 Trans-Am season opener in a Boss 302 and the Laguna Seca is named after the track where he won that race. The event will be televised live on SPEED channel.
“I am very excited to see that Ford is carrying on the tradition of the Boss Mustang,” said Jones. “Ford had the right ingredients to bring back this legendary car and it’s a great addition to the Mustang lineup.”

A 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Coupe, which was the first car that John Lennon bought on passing his driving test in 1965, is to be sold at Bonhams’ Paris sale of Motor Cars at the Grand Palais on 5 February 2011. It has attracted a pre-sale estimate of €120,000 – 170,000.
Philip Norman recounts in his biography John Lennon – A Life: ‘In February 1965, John passed his driving test, an event that made headline news across the nation. Within hours, every luxury car dealership in the Weybridge area, hoping for business, jammed the road outside Kenwood’s security gates with Maseratis, Aston Martins, and Jaguar XK-E. John strolled out to inspect this gleaming smorgasbord, eventually selecting a £2,000 light blue Ferrari.’
